Control Valve Options

Isoflames gas logs are available with four particular control valve systems – Safety Pilot Valve System, Remote Control Valve System, Millivolt Remote Control System and Electronic Ignition Valve System. Please review local gas codes to ensure proper installation and operation of your ISOFLAMES gas log set.

The Safety Pilot Valve System is a manually operated valve system with a standing pilot flame. The flames are manually turned on and off by a knob on the Safety Pilot Valve which is mounted on the burner. Should the pilot light go out, the Safety Pilot Valve will automatically shut down the flow of gas to the burner. The Safety Pilot Valve System is compatible with any Isoflames gas log set and also with the Isokern B-Vent Series (IBV) fireplace system.

A Remote Control Valve System is available. This valve system is similar to the Safety Pilot Valve in that they both have a standing pilot light. The Remote Control Valve System is operated by a hand held remote control device. However the flame can be turned on and off by a dial on the Remote Pilot Valve which is mounted to the burner. Should the pilot light go out, the Remote Control Pilot Valve will automatically shut down the flow of gas to the burner. The Remote Control Valve System is compatible with any Isoflames gas log set and also with the Isokern B-Vent Series (IBV) fireplace system. There is also a wall switch option available as an upgrade.

Another available option is the Millivolt Remote Control System. This valve system also has a standing pilot light which, if extinguished, will shut down the flow of gas to the burner. The Millivolt Remote Control System is operated either by a hand held, on/off remote control device or by a wall switch. The Millivolt Remote Control System can be used on Isoflames gas log set.

The final valve system available option is the Electronic Ignition System. This valve system has no standing pilot light but, rather when the system is turned on by the wall switch or remote an electric spark is created to ignite the pilot light which is mounted to the gas burner. Once the pilot flame is lit the gas log burner is turned on after a couple of seconds. In the event the pilot flame gets extinguished, the valve will automatically stop the flow of gas to the burner. The Electronic Ignition requires 120 volt current be brought into the control panel. The Electronic Ignition Valve System is compatible with any Isoflames gas log set and also with the Isokern B-Vent Series (IBV) fireplace system.
